Request for arguments "for" or "against" the special sale, lease or exchange of real property election

 
Amphitheater Unified School District No. 10 of Pima County, Arizona (the “District”), will hold a special election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.  The purpose of the election is to permit the qualified electors of the District to vote on authorizing the District to sell, lease or exchange all or part of the following described parcels of real property and use all or a portion of any such proceeds of any such sale, lease or exchange to purchase school sites and/or to construct, improve, equip and furnish school buildings, including technology, to purchase student transportation vehicles and/or any other permitted capital expenditure.  The real property is described as follows:
 
Parcel A:   Vacant land located 5940 N San Joaquin Ave, Arizona (approximately 13.77 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Numbers are 101-12-0030 and 225-11-2580.
 
Parcel B:   Site referred to as Copper Creek Elementary School located 11620 N. Copper Spring Trail, Oro Valley, Arizona 85737 (approximately 14.53 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Numbers are 224-03-169J and 224-04-5860.
 
Parcel C:   Site referred to as Donaldson Elementary School located 2040 W. Omar Drive, Tucson, Arizona 85704 (approximately 9.95 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Numbers are 101-01-002A and 102-10-0050.
 
Parcel D:   Site referred to as Amphitheater Land Lab located 450 E. Wetmore Road, Tucson, Arizona 85705 (approximately 6.64 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Number is 105-10-1270.
 
Parcel E:   Site referred to as Holaway Elementary School located 3500-3501 N. Cherry Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85719 (approximately 9.67 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Numbers are 113-05-076A, 113-05-2630 and 113-05-2640.
 
Parcel F:   Site referred to as Nash Elementary School located 515 W. Kelso Street, Tucson, Arizona 85705 (approximately 4.81 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Numbers are 107-09-092A, 107-09-098A, 107-09-104A, 107-09-106A, 107-09-112A and 107-09-113A.
 
The Pima County School Superintendent will be preparing an informational pamphlet that will be mailed to households containing one or more registered electors within the District.  Any persons wishing to submit an argument “for” or “against” the proposed sale, lease or exchange of real property (not to exceed 200 words) may do so by mail or hand delivery of the argument to the Pima County School Superintendent, 200 N. Stone Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701; telephone:  (520) 724-8451.
 
To be included in the informational pamphlet, such argument must be received in the office of the Pima County School Superintendent on or before 5:00 p.m., August 7, 2026.  Such argument must be signed and should include the name of the school district, the author’s name, address and telephone number. If the argument is submitted by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee's chairperson or treasurer. If the argument is submitted by an individual and not on behalf of an organization, a political committee or any other group, the person shall submit the argument with a sworn, notarized statement. The entity and author’s name will be printed in the informational pamphlet. El Distrito Escolar Unificado Núm. 10 Amphitheater del Condado de Pima, Arizona (el “Distrito”), celebrará una elección de especial el día martes 3 de noviembre de 2026. El propósito de la elección es permitir que los electores calificados del Distrito voten si autorizan al Distrito para que venda, arriende o permute todas o parte de las siguientes parcelas de bienes inmuebles descritas y usar toda o una parte de los ingresos de cualquier venta, arriendo o permuta para comprar sitios escolares o construir, mejorar, equipar y amoblar edificios escolares, incluyendo tecnología, para comprar vehículos de transporte escolar o cualquier otro gasto de capital permitido. Los bienes inmuebles se describen como sigue:
 
Lote A:      Terreno vacío ubicado en  5940 N San Joaquin Ave, Arizona (de aproximadamente 13.77 acres). Los números de lote del Tasador son 101-12-0030 y 225-11-2580.

El Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Pima preparará un folleto informativo que se enviará por correo a los hogares que cuenten con uno o más electores registrados dentro del Distrito. Cualquier persona que desee presentar un argumento “a favor” o “en contra” de la venta, arriendo o permuta de los bienes inmuebles propuestos (no debe exceder de 200 palabras) puede enviar el argumento por servicio postal o entregarlo en persona en la oficina del Pima County School Superintendent, 200 N. Stone Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701; teléfono: (520) 724-8451.
 
Para que el argumento sea incluido en el folleto informativo, este debe recibirse en la oficina del Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Pima a más tardar el 7 de agosto de 2026, a las 5:00 p. m.  Dicho argumento debe firmarse e incluir el nombre del distrito escolar, el nombre del autor, la dirección y el número de teléfono. Si el argumento es presentado por un comité político, deberá contener la declaración jurada del presidente o tesorero del comité. Si el argumento es presentado por una persona y no en nombre de una organización, un comité político o algún otro grupo, la persona deberá presentar el argumento con una declaración jurada notariada. El nombre del autor y la entidad se imprimirán en el folleto informativo.
